Slītere Travellers Days, 6—7 June, 2015

Already for the sixth consecutive year the traditional Slītere travellers days take place inviting everybody to spend two forest and sea breathfull holidays during spring peak in the Slitere National Park, Livonian Coast, Dundaga Region, the northwest of Latvia.

This year they will run on June 6–7 and unlike the previous years, more attention will be paid to edible things, potherbs, natural food chains, and local Livonian cookery heritage and skills as well.

Of course, you may expect a number of other new activities as well as already popular trips with experienced local and guest guides and workshop leaders. Everybody will be able to find the favorite trip, cognitive and recreation activity. There will be opportunities to explore different nature and cultural history routes, both on foot and bicycles, and in boats.

Though the different activities will be spread throughout the territory, the very centre and the place where to return after hiking and other activities during the day, will be organized in farm «Ūši», in Kolka, near the Cape Kolka. You will be welcomed in the livonian kitchen and local market here. In «Ūši» a very exciting activity – walk in the industrial history of Kolka and tasting the best Latvian sprats will take place as well!

In other places, together with the professionals, enthusiast of their trade you will have the opportunity to know better the natural and cultural world of the Slitere National Park, around old Livonian village Mazirbe, at Slitere lighthouse, and in several other places.
